Home and Harvest

What a summer we have had. I honestly don’t remember such a pro-longed spell of warm dry weather. Great for the beach, barbeques and ice-cream. Not so great for water supplies, farmers and restaurants! However things have gotten back to normal and we are delighted with how our restaurant has been received. We were over the moon with the excellent reviews we have received in the national press, and from food bloggers and magazines. But the best aspect of the last few months has been hearing from the people of Waterford City and the surrounding areas about how much they have enjoyed themselves at the restaurant and that they are delighted we have opened our doors. Thanks for all your words of encouragement and support.
We are part of large community of excellent restaurants and food producers in the Waterford area. This is no more evident than during the Harvest Festival which runs this year from Friday 7 September to Sunday 9 September. We are delighted to be part of the festival by hosting a special sparkling lunch on Saturday 8 September at 1pm. See this link for all the details:

The full programme (which is absolutely jam packed with excellent events) can be found here:

This is going to be a wonderful showcase of Waterford and Irish food and is not to be missed. So get yourself to Waterford next weekend!
Another great event to look forward to is the South East House and Home Show 2018. This is the South East’s premier home, garden and lifestyle event and is taking place in the WIT Arena on Saturday and Sunday 29 and 30 September. Peter will be attending this year’s show and will do a cooking demonstration on Sunday. Come over and say hello if you see him. For all the details on the event visit:

Plenty to look forward to in September to distract us from the colder weather!
