Taste of Waterford

I have not been very good at posting here but I suppose it's a reflection on how busy the past few weeks have been. There has been so much going on that I think we are only really hitting the settling in period now. I'd like to start off by thanking all of the people who have come to dine with us over the first couple of months. Your support has been fantastic. We've had lots of great feedback and we really do appreciate it.

We've been adding some finishing touches and are really looking forward to hanging the photography we have commissioned from Ruth Foran Photography. Ruth and Martin came down to visit us recently and took some beautiful photography of the sights in and around the restaurant. We think they are great and will add something different to the restaurant. Keep an eye out for them in the next couple of weeks.

We've also recently put back up our refurbished blue plaque. It's a great honour to own a piece of such an historic site in Waterford and our blue plaque is proudly displayed at the front of the building to inform passers by of its story. Thank you to Brendan Grogan and all at Waterford Civic Trust for helping us to restore the plaque, they did a great job.

We have got some exciting plans in the pipeline including getting involved in the Harvest Festival, the South East House & Home Show and we are also looking at running some wine tasting nights so stay tuned for the details of all of those. One event coming up that we are proud to be supporting is the Taste of Waterford.  This fundraiser in aid of Tintean Housing Association (who provide accommodation with support to women experiencing homelessness in Waterford City and County) will showcase the best restaurants Waterford has to offer. It will be a unique food and culture trail of Waterford City. Find out more at https://www.facebook.com/events/189725008525622/

That's all for now!
